Dolly-Parton
Born on Jan. 19th, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family that would ultimately comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of life by using her vivid and expansive imagination. Before she was able to write and read, she began to compose her own songs. When she got her first guitar at age of eight, she started to perform at radio stations in Knoxville in Tennessee. Gold Band Records is a tiny, independent label. While in high school, she made herself known to the local community, however her ambition was bigger. She relocated to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her first two charting albums from Monument Records. At about this time Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for his syndicated television show. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after signing in 1969 with RCA Records. She quit Wagoner's act in 1974, when her solo hits like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene oversold her collaborations. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their collaboration with Wagoner, wrote"I Will Never Love You and had it reach Number. The first time in 1974.
