Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson, an American singer-songwriter director and producer is also a songwriter. Most famously, she is known for her part as Tara Maclay on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and has also directed produced and starred in her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. In addition, she was a part of Kiss the Bride. Benson, born to a psychiatrist as well as an artist named Diane Benson was born in Birmingham Alabama on January 8 1977. Benson has a younger sister Danielle Benson, who is an artist. Benson was a member of a Reform Jewish synagogue when she was growing up. Her mother, who was Southern Baptist and raised Jewish through her father, is as well Jewish. Since Buffy ended Benson has been in movies such as The Killing Jar and on shows like Morganville The Series. In the background Benson utilized her talents as a writer to write The Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010 she directed Drones.
